Radiation detection materials - photodiode chips
Including linear array PD, area array PD, etc
1. Photodiode (PD) chip is a signal receiving chip in X-ray detection, which converts the visible light emitted by the scintillator into electrical signals for output, thereby obtaining images containing information about the detected object. It is one of the important components in the X-ray detector system. PD chips are usually made of monocrystalline silicon material, forming a pixelated detection area through a semiconductor process, and have low leakage current and junction capacitance, with high light response to most visible light bands. PD chips come in different design size specifications, from one-dimensional linear arrays to two-dimensional planar arrays, with pixel sizes ranging from 0.4mm, 0.8mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.5mm, 4.6mm, and can be customized according to needs. PD chips include two categories: forward input (FSI) and backward input (BSI), which can be selected according to different applications. The detector module is formed by packaging with scintillators, which has wide applications in radiation detection and imaging fields such as security, food detection, industrial detection, security CT, medical CT, etc.
